SUMMER ADULT ART CLASS

Plein Air Watercolor!

New Dates:  August 10, 17,  24, and 31

Mondays 5:30 – 7:00 pm

Learn fun watercolor techniques while learning color theory, creating textures, and putting all the elements together to create paintings outdoors with step by step instruction.

 No experience is necessary to express yourself in an encouraging creative environment. This class is for beginners and experienced artists.

Creating Mandalas

After creating birds, mono print butterflies, mummies, mandalas, folded books, salt textured watercolors, resist bird paintings, origami books, foil fish, sea turtles,  and dream/treasure containers, we closed the week with an Art Show attended by enthusiastic parents, relatives, friends and of course the student artists!

Each day we will explore a different theme:              

Birds and Butterflies                              

Learn how to draw and  paint these beautiful flying creatures who live in our own backyards while looking at artists for inspiration. Learn about color, shading, and texture.

Ocean: Splash

 Be inspired by all the colorful and awesome creatures we find living in water!  

Be an Explorer                     

Have fun while you explore a different culture.

Folded Books         

 Create your own book in words and pictures using paint, collage, glue, thread and more!
