Drawing objects in one point perspective can be tricky at first. Once you learn the basics it can be a lot of fun. It's all about connecting lines to points and drawing lines that are parallel to each other. You will need:
- 8 1/2 x 11 inch copy paper
- Ruler
- Pencil and eraser
- Make a dot not far from the right hand corner of your paper
- Draw a rectangle in the middle of the paper. Draw a triangle on the top of the rectangle.
- With the ruler, connect points 1,2, and 3 to the dot that is your vanishing point (VP). So you are connecting the two side corners of the rectangle and the top of the triangle with the dot. You will have three lines drawn to the dot.
- Draw a line parallel to the right side of the rectangle about 1 to 2 inches away.
- Draw a line parallel to the top line of the triangle from point A to point B.
- Now you can shade the side and roof and you are done.
Hope you can try this!
